Overview

ParkBongSook Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Adelaide at 152 Wright St, offers a genuine taste of Korean home-style cooking that stands out in the local scene. Far from the typical K-BBQ experience, this spot focuses on hearty, comforting dishes that deliver both flavor and generosity in portion size. It's an ideal destination for those craving robust, traditional Korean meals made with care.

The menu is balanced and thoughtfully curated, featuring highlights like the Seafood Pancake, known for its fresh ingredients, and the Pork Bone Soup, a rich, warming staple that reflects authentic Korean flavors. Another standout is the Jokbal Set – tender, slow-cooked pig’s trotters that blend perfectly with an array of savory banchan side dishes, enriching the dining experience. The Snow Cheese Fried Chicken and Blue Mountain Donkkaseu provide creative spins on classic dishes, capturing the blend of tradition and modernity.

Beyond these offerings, seafood soft tofu stew and spicy stir-fried pork reveal the kitchen’s skill in balancing spice and hearty textures, with careful attention to not overwhelming the palate. The inclusion of Korean RetroStyle Tonkatsu and the Kimchi Park Stew showcases versatility, appealing to those seeking nostalgic yet innovative tastes.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and vibrant, often busy with both locals and visitors who appreciate the authentic Korean flavors paired with generous portions. The space feels welcoming, with a casual vibe that suits friends, families, and anyone eager to enjoy a satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. Service is friendly and attentive, though understandably brisk during peak times, reflecting the lively demand for quality Korean fare.

Customer feedback highlights the dependability of the dishes—generous servings that consistently satisfy hunger without skimping on flavor. While some dishes, like the glazed pork, might occasionally not meet expectations in tenderness, the overall menu impresses with its balance and freshness. The seafood pancake is a favorite, though some guests note a preference for a lighter oil touch.

For those in Adelaide looking to explore Korean cuisine beyond BBQ grills, ParkBongSook Restaurant offers an inviting journey through Seoul-style comfort food. It is perfect for those who appreciate hearty meals seasoned with tradition, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service that makes every visit worthwhile.

I’ve been craving Korean food lately, and this spot always hits the spot. It’s not a K-BBQ place, but a Korean restaurant that serves hearty cooked meals — and I've been here a few times already. The portions are consistently huge and the food is satisfying. This time I ordered the Pork Soft Tofu Stew — absolutely perfect for a windy day. The broth was flavorful, and the spice level was just right for me (I can't handle much spice, so I appreciated that it wasn’t overpowering). What really impressed me was how generous they were with the pork — I got meat in every scoop, which is rare for a dish priced at $24 with rice included. We also tried the Rolled Kimchi & Braised Pork Belly — again, great portion size for $25. Very filling and flavorful. The Glazed Crispy Dongpo Pork took the longest to come out. It tasted good, but the pork was a bit hard to chew, which was a letdown. The seafood pancake was tasty but a bit too oily for my preference. Would definitely come back again when I’m craving a warm, filling Korean meal.

Came here the other weekend for some lunch since it was close by. We’ve been here before and remember their lunch menu was affordable for something you’d get somewhere in the city. Coming here for lunch was definitely the right choice because oh my, the food size, portions and freshness of all the menus we got were so good and flavourful - and did I talk about the price already? We all got a soup for ourselves and shared a Korean chicken plate which were so crunchy! One order of soup could easily fit two people, but how can you choose what soup you want when the prices are that good! We came when the store just had a few people on a Sunday around 11, and just a few minutes later a lot more people started coming into the restaurant. We was so glad to have gotten a sit before this rush! Staff were super friendly and nice when we got to interact with them, but due to the restaurant being so busy, we had to get their attention if you need something, but you can tell they were working super hard, so super respect for them during that time! Would definitely recommend this place out if you’re in the city looking for somewhere to eat!

This was one of the most delicious Korean restaurants I’ve ever been to. I hadn’t expected such a wonderful find until we actually visited! We ordered quite a few dishes — both to enjoy on the spot and to take away — and the staff’s warm, attentive service was just as impressive as the incredible flavors of the food. At the end of the day, we ended up taking home half of what we’d ordered… and enjoyed it for lunch the next day.

I always leave this place feeling satisfied. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Today I ordered the pork bone soup, fried chicken in two flavors, and grilled pork belly. The fried chicken was as tasty as always. The pork belly was good, though a bit dry. The soup was decent, but it tasted a little bland. Not sure why, but the small portion of this soup always seems less flavorful compared to the large one, which is much richer. The total bill came to $75 for two people, and we were completely full—with four pieces of chicken and a serving of rice still left to take home.

This Korean restaurant is probably the best one around here. My friends and I ordered spicy pork, kimchi soup, and cheese fried chicken. In order of how good they were: spicy pork first, then kimchi soup, and lastly the cheese fried chicken. The chicken was just okay in flavor but nicely crispy. The other two dishes were really good.

This Korean restaurant is an absolute must-try! Every single dish we ordered was incredibly delicious. We visited with seven people, including two kids, for a family birthday, and despite being very busy, the food came out impressively fast. The Seafood Pancake was a highlight – loaded with seafood and wonderfully crispy, offering fantastic texture and flavor. As a fan of spicy food, the Volcano Chicken Feet were perfect for me! They were incredibly spicy, just how I like them. While my family couldn't handle the heat (more for me!), it's definitely a dish for spice lovers. The Pork Hock was incredibly generous in portion size and surprisingly not greasy at all. It was so well-seasoned that it tasted amazing even without the dipping sauce, and the accompanying vegetables were a great touch to cut through any richness. The Cold Noodles with Pork Belly were an instant hit and quickly devoured by everyone at the table! The pork belly was incredibly tender, and the refreshing cold noodles, topped with plenty of green onion and crispy fried shallots for added texture, made this a universal favorite. For the kids, we ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, which the little ones absolutely loved. I highly recommend this place for a delicious and satisfying Korean meal, especially for families or groups!

Interesting touches on Korean food like the rice flour seafood pancake which I found really crispy and yummy! Very worth the amount paid for. A surprisingly great recommendation from a friend.
